Meltdown London is a sports bar with a difference. Leave your real-world feats of athletic prowess at the door, because it’s dedicated purely to eSports.

Eurogamer reports that Meltdown London will open its doors on June 1st and will stream eSports matches and coverage seven days a week. It is the third Meltdown-branded bar to open worldwide, following sites in Paris and Berlin.

VR in a Bar is as the name suggests virtual reality games in a licenced premesis.

As nobody died the first or second time round it's back again!

If you haven't played with headsets like Oculus and want a chance to sample, make games and want to meet other developers or just have a drink and look on at puzzeled at people wearing headsets looking gormless this is for you!

With the new Tri Force Heroes game being released on October 22nd, we at Palico HQ have put down our hunting gear and decked up in Red, Green and Blue for a new quest and brand-new adventure!

Based on the visual styles of The Wind Waker and A Link Between Worlds, The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes is a cooperative action-adventure game in which three doppelganger Links join forces to fight enemies, solve puzzles and save princesses! Or maybe just the one!

Alternatively, you can play solo using artificially intelligent doll-like companions controlled via the touchscreen... But why solo when there are big social events to play at?? So enough of that!

It's the last GamePad! event of 2015 and a festive twist...'tis the season to be gaming!

The Winter Edition of GamePad! will take place on Saturday December 19th from 2pm at Petit Miracle Hub, West 12 Shopping Centre in Shepherd's Bush.

We are proud to announce the upcoming StreetPass London event! In addition to the usual multiplayer shenanigans we will be playing the brand new Square-Enix epic Final Fantasy : Explorers! Those of you with your own copy (the game is released on January 29th, so 2 days before the event) are encouraged to bring it along, as there will be plenty of opportunity to play cooperatively with others using your own character! For those of you without ; fear not... We will be showing the game off using demo copies and demo 3DSes. This means all attendees will get a chance to play Final Fantasy : Explorers with one another!

Another game we'll be playing together is Lightwood Games' Wii-U title Word Party! This 5-player party game offers brand new word games mixed with unique multiplayer versions of classics. There will be a tournament in this title open to all, with the top prize being a copy of the game itself!

Aside from these we will, as usual, be playing all your multiplayer favourites. Expect games of Mario Kart 7, Zelda : Triforce Heroes, Pokémon XYαΩ plus many more! Our attendees tend to have impressive gaming collections, so regardless of what you want to play (even if it's something a little more obscure) you're bound to find someone to game with! There will also be various Wii-U games available to play, such as Smash 4 and Mario Kart 8

In terms of venue : we've looked far and wide to find you a space that was :

- central
- easy to get to (great transport links)
- spacious
- state-of-the-art (so we could show off those Wii-U games on a glorious projector)

...and have managed to tick every box with the Stockwell Community Centre! The centre, which is less than a mere 3 miles from Centre Point, is served by a plethora of tube and bus routes (the Northern and Victoria lines both run into Stockwell Tube Station). It's a lovely, clean space, and you're all sure to love it.

This event is supported by Nintendo, Square-Enix and Lightwood Games. We will also be assisted on the day by our friends from StreetPass Southend, NSG and, ofcourse, our wonderful StreetPass London Buddies!

Well here we go Girls and Boys, PimpShuei’s very first video game tournament with the brand new Street Fighter V for PS4! We know you’ve all been very excited about the prospects of gaming tournaments and the release of this game so we thought it was about time we start up a little competition for you all, using our brand new PS4 through a Full HD projector and 120” screen!

This will be an OPEN competition. Absolutely anybody, Male or Female can enter (as long as they are over 21), so feel free to speak to any of your friends, family or coworkers to get them involved as well or to come and cheer you on at the event! There will also be Free Play Arcades all night as well as offers on TsingTao beer all night for everyone to have a great night playing this amazing game.

We will still be going with our usual Happy Hour offer, with 2 TsingTao or any of our signature cocktails for just £6 from 5 until 7!

Here is the info for the Tournament:

There will be a maximum of 16 places available for the competition on a first come, first served basis.

Entry Fee will be £10, however every entrant will receive 3 TsingTao Beers & unlimited soft drinks on the night

All competitors will also have the chance to practice on our system at PimpShuei on Monday-Wednesday for the next two weeks up to the Tournament date. On the day you will be able to practice for the hour before the Start Time at 6 o’clock on Wednesday 9th March

16 players will compete in a random bracket to determine who is the PimpShuei Street Fighter Champion!
All match ups for each round will be completely random, with 4 rounds of competition

Prizes will be awarded on the night for the Top Three competitors as well as some random giveaways on the night for fights or competitors we find particularly entertaining!

Hi everyone, Loading Bar Stratford’s "Video Games Expert": Mat Jones here, ready to invite you to another one of our famous get-togethers. I’ve been given the chance to celebrate one of my favourite things: Residential Evil. I personally know a lot about this after definitely hearing about it before today.

President Evil is best known as the iconic film franchise starring Kate Beckinsale in her battle against some nasty umbrellas. Perhaps you might not have known that the series originally began as a handful of video games on the PlayStation Two!

Please join us on March 22, the 20th anniversary of the release of the first game, Resident Weevil Zero, to celebrate the life (or more accurately, being undead on account of all of the game’s iconic werewolves!) of this landmark "horror survival" franchise.

We’ll have a series of special cocktails available like our signature “B-Virus” or our “Health Plants”. We’ll also have a chronological list of the main games in the series, like Project X Zone and Pocket Fighter.

I’ve reached out to Namco Bandai to see if they want to get involved but I haven't heard a response yet.

If you’re a fan of the series I hope you join us and if you’ve somehow never heard of The Resident Evil (or as it’s known in Japan: Bad Zone) then I hope this event serves as a revelaiton.

We are pleased to announce we've been accepted to run a StreetPass London event as part of the London Games Festival! So as to not coincide with the 'Now Play This' event on April's first weekend, or the mighty Rezzed, which is taking place on the second (both of which are also part of the festivities) we decided to host our first ever weekday get-together!

StreetPass London is a chance for those who own the Nintendo 3DS games console to get together and play its multiplayer titles with other 3DS fans. This is done by utilising the console’s local wireless capabilities. Our next meetup looks set to take place at the Royal Festival Hall (also known as the Southbank Centre). We look forward to basking in its relaxing surroundings and enjoying some chilled-out gaming.

What games can you expect the other attendees to be playing? I can confirm our attendees tend to have large collections, which they often bring along with them. This means that ; even if you’re gagging for someone to play a more obscure 3DS title with (such as Tekken 3D Prime) there’s a good chance you will find someone with it who wouldn’t mind giving you a match or two. The most popular games at our events include Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, Legend of Zelda : Tri Force Heroes and Pokémon.

The initial get-together spot will be at the Festival Terrace entrance, where the group will be between 7:30pm and 8. We will then move on to a quieter spot in the venue, which we will post here (we, hence, seriously recommend bringing along an internet-enabled device). If worst comes to worse and you miss this initial get-together don’t fret however, as staff members will be popping down to the entrance at regular intervals throughout the event. You can spot us easily as we wear darkish green tops with our StreetPass logo on the front and back, and the Nintendo logo on the sleeves.

So charge up your 3DS, locate your Pokémon games (be they X/Y/ORAS or the new Gen 1 releases) and make your way down to London's latest branch of GAME for a fun and hopefully fruitful afternoon of Pokémon trading!

StreetPass London Community Manager Helen will be on hand with her copies of the games, and will have some rare shineys and legendaries on her person she is willing to part with. The GAME staff will also be on hand for any of your buying needs.

Brutal Deluxe is a weekly gaming event held at ExFed, a large arts space, in Manor House, London.

Entry is £5

Reduced entry (£3.50) for players bringing consoles (PS3/PS4/XBOXONE)

We have a growing selection of arcade machines which will be on free-play all night.

We are heading back to GAME @ Bond Street, this time to bring you a tournament in the 3DS Virtual Console Gen 1 Pokémon games! Yes, we're talking about those copies of Pokémon Red, Blue and Yellow many of you have on your 3DS!
The winner will receive a prize of £20 Nintendo eShop credit, and the runner-up will receive £10 eShop credit!
We have space for 32 competitors! If you don't make the initial 32 it's worth putting your name down on the waiting list, however, just in case.

RULES

- All competitors must arrive between 1pm – 2. Failure to do so will lead to forfeit, and your opponent will advance in the tournament.
- No Pokémon or moves are barred. This is a Casual-friendly tournament.
- No Pokémon are barred. Again, this is a Casual-friendly tournament.
- No level cap
- Only one Pokémon of each species is permitted.
- Evidence of cheating will lead to disqualification (with the exception of owning/using Mew).
- If you're not present when we need you to compete that will lead to forfeit, and your opponent will advance in the tournament.

The event time is set here to 1pm – 2. That's so everyone is clear when they need to be here by. We're obviously not going to be able to get through 5 rounds in an hour, so expect to stick around til 5 or 6. Also be prepared that this could entail some periods of standing while waiting for your turn. However, as with our last fabulous event, the GAME staff will be on hand for any of your Pokémon or gaming needs!

For the start of the new year Nintendo London is hosting another social meet up for Switch and 3DS owners to meet up, play some games and have a good time. Like previous meets, bring your games and come play.
Lets start off our hype for 2018 by having one last focus on the greats of 2017 with such titles such as Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Splatoon 2, Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon and much more.

The meet up will be at the same location as before, the Crosse Keys pub which is a small walk away from Monument station. It is a spacious location, all we ask is for everyone to purchase one drink there. Of course if budget is an issue please let me know.

There is also going to be a small competition to partake in where you can win a few goodies, more news on this to come so watch this space
