New Belong Arena in Derry/Londonderry

Belong Arenas are a network of gaming spaces. Tied to GAME stores ; punters will find top-spec gaming PCs at these venues, which they can pay to play. One of the most recent branches to open is the Belong in Derry/Londonderry, so we figured we’d make an article having a chat about it.

The venue is situated at the top floor of Sports Direct, which is in the Foyleside Mall. You know ; the one next to the Derry Girls mural. The one with the McDonalds? Yea, you know the one.

An hour’s worth of play is £5 during peak times (think weekends, school holidays etc), dropping to £3 for offpeak. The array of games on offer isn’t huge, but not too bad either. The major Playstation 5 exclusives are all there, as is the Xbox Game Pass range. In addition you’ll find the likes of World of Warcraft, Forza Horizon 5 and Golf with Friends.

To keep gamers energised there are an array of drinks and snacks on offer. Personally I like the Minstrels, but you may also find :

• Haribo
• Maltersers
• Chocolate-covered Pretzels
• Mike & Ikes
• M&Ms
• Pringles

Naturally these are accompanied by an array of energy drinks.
