Animal Crossing: New Leaf enters UK Game Charts at No.2
The mayors of New Leaf were runner up in the UK charts:
Animal Crossing: New Leaf which arrived last Friday, has proved very popular in its opening weekend alone to get the No.2 Spot of the UK Video Game Charts Top 40 – which is the highest entry of a Nintendo 3DS title since Mario Kart 7, with The Last of Us(PS3) being the only obstacle to AC:New Leaf getting No.1.
This is also taking into consideration that the chart only includes physical retail sales, so a game like Animal Crossing got extra sales from the eShop and due to the So Many Games promotion.
Animal Crossing: New Leaf isn’t the only 3DS game to be in the Top 40 this week as Luigi’s Mansion 2 is at No.9, Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D at No.15, LEGO City Undercover: The Chase Begins in 23rd, while Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity and Fire Emblem: Awakening are on 37th and 40th respectively, both clinging onto the charts. Lets not forget Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is at No.35 (Though that’s combining both 3DS and Wii U versions)
Will Animal Crossing: New Leaf continue these strong sales and reached Number Uno?? We at 3DSBlessed hope so, and remind you that there is a Streetpass meetup organised by Penny Bryant on Sunday 23th June hosted by Loading Bar/MADD, and more information can be found on our events page.
