Nintendo to discontinue XL(LL) model in Japan

With the release of the new models of the 3DS and XL coming up in 2015 many owners of the original 3DS model and it’s larger XL cousin will likely trade them in for the latest models.

According to Nintendo Japan’s website under several of the 3DS XL (LL in Japan) there is a message stating “Production is slated to end shortly”

If this is concerte then it could be likely than Nintendo of Europe and Nintendo of America will do the same eventually in order to push the new models onto the public.
