Metroid II Remake announced for 3DS

With the Nintendo Spotlight stream announcing that Metroid Prime 4 is being developed for the Switch, there was much rejoicing from Metroid fans that Nintendo had listened to their long awaited demands.

In addition during Day 1 of the Treehouse stream, the remake of Metroid II titled Metroid:Samus Returns would be making its way to the 3DS for 15th September 2017.

Samus Returns will be developed by MercurySteam, the studio behind Castlevania: Lords of Shadow with supervision from Yoshio Sakamoto who is the co-creator of Metroid.
